Juan Carlos Sotolongo is a Broker Associate at Gridline Properties, a Miami commercial real estate brokerage. Born and raised in Miami and bilingual in English and Spanish, Juan focuses on investment sales in the Miami market, representing owners and investors in the sale and acquisition of multifamily, land, industrial and retail properties.

He earned his real estate license in 2014 while working as a property manager at Mayor Realty, a family-run Miami office, where he ran roughly 300 units across several neighborhoods: renovations and repairs, permitting with the City of Miami, the City of Hialeah and Miami-Dade County, contractors and architects, bookkeeping, collections and leasing. Working directly with the owner gave him the ownership lens he still brings to every deal, what a property really costs to run, where the money is made or lost, and what separates a good deal from a bad one.

In 2018 he joined Marcus & Millichap to learn the institutional side of investment sales, underwriting, prospecting and 1031 exchanges. From 2020 to 2026, as a Broker Associate with J+ Group at Compass Commercial, he broadened that base across multifamily, industrial, retail, development sites and owner-user properties, and worked alongside syndicators, REITs and joint-venture partners on assignments from single buildings to institutional portfolios.

Juan is known for his communication: he picks up the phone and answers his emails, seven days a week.
